• The Atlantic Slave Trade (Flip) This is an overview flipchart of the Atlantic Trade Triangle - the first image shows a map, which has the text covered up, at the end of the presentation you can use this as a recap and then rub away the white to reveal whether the answers are correct
• The Middle Passage (Flip) This is a series of images and text that can be annotated over showing the conditions on board the slave ships
• The Middle Passage (word) A sorting activity for lower ability - students have to cut and paste descriptions under the appropriate headings
• Slave ships writing frame (word) This links in with the sorting activity above and gives a structure to a piece of extended writing. There is also an adjective box at the bottom to stimulate ideas.

• The British Empire 1750, 1900 (flp) Two maps showing the development of the British Empire - students need to label the countries on the maps. This can lead to a discussion about change and continuity in the development of the Empire
